Cranio-Sacral Integration Is a very subtle touch as it follows the rhythmic motion inherent in all life forms. It connects to the underlying fascia by moving with the body’s own movement, responding to each individual according to his or her own needs.
Every trauma affects this motion creating disturbances in twists, restrictions and resistances. As cranio-sacral integrates with the body's motion, it establishes a calming balance. Reflexology is the practice of working the reflexes at the bottom of the feet to bring about circulation and balance to corresponding body parts. It allows blood to flow unimpeded and cells to be supplied with nutrients and oxygen. The return of the body's state of homeostasis, (the body's normal state of optimal functioning), gets triggered.
One's state of health depends on this ability to rebound especially after a trauma or injury.
Since stress and illness are ongoing issues of life for most people, reflexology can be preventive.
Reflexology works because it taps into the basic body stress mechanism and interrupts the pattern of stress. (See benefits page)
